The 5th Annual JimsCampingForums.com Rally was held the first week of August, 2011 in Lancaster, PA.

We stayed at Mill Bridge Campground.

The Campground had several Canoes for rent.  Rates were reasonable and the campers that took advantage of their use really seemed to enjoy the experience.  The waterway for the canoes actually curved around the campground.  There was an area with steps leading down to the water where the canoes could be launched.  The water's flow allowed for easy paddling in one direction and a bit of a workout in the other.  Life jackets were required but were also available with the canoe rental.

Everyone that took advantage of the pool had a great time.  It was spacious, had clean surroundings, and clear water.  Plenty of lounging chairs lined the deck around the pool.  Children had to be supervised by an adult.  From the pool you had a view of the windmill, the game room, the community room/banquet hall and the front of the store - check in building.  The game room could use some updating and better equipment.  Most of the games were either broken or very out of date.  The banquet hall seemed nice enough even though it looked a little stuffy.  If you plan on using the banquet hall be aware that there is a $50.00 charge.

On the property there is a mill, a covered bridge, and a windmill.  The old mill is open for free tours during the day.  The covered bridge is located at the entrance to the campground and is locked on both ends.  It is a long covered bridge and lots of people were seen taking photos from various angles.  The windmill sat across from the pool and was interesting to watch.  The campground property line is adjacent to a farm which grows corn and raises horses.  The horses were usually out next to the campground drive coming in from the main road.

On one of the excursions away from Mill Bridge, we went to Intercourse, Pennsylvania.  The Kitchen Kettle Village is located in Intercourse.  We managed to spend money, probably more than we should have.  The Tin N Treasures shop sells hand made cast iron goods.  The Kitchen Kettle has employees working the kitchen on site making fresh Jams, Jellies, Sauces, Salsa, Cookies, and Shoo Fly Pies, just to name a few.  If their Jelly or Jam doesn't set right, you can get a real bargain!  Believe me - doesn't hurt the taste in the least.  There's many other shops but I can't remember the names.  We did buy some leather goods at the Deerskin leather shop in the Village.  Buggy Rides through the countryside are also available for rent at the Village.

We had a potluck dinner scheduled during the trip.  We had planned on using the community room/banquet hall, but that idea was dashed to the side due to the rental fee.  I've never seen a CG before that charged for use of community areas. We had 13 sites rented in the Cg and you'd think they would have been more then happy to let us eat dinner inside without a 50 dollar charge. So we threw in the towel, put our heads together, and made our own banquet hall out in an open area of the campground.  Pulling bunches of picnic tables, grills, and EZ-up's together worked wonderfully for an easy instantaneous community gathering location, complete with roof, seats, and cooking amenities.  The food was outstanding, the socializing was awesome, and the night was a blast.  There was a campfire later with marshmallow toasting and variety of drinks.  What more could one ask for?
