We made a pretty long trip in August of 2014 headed to
Meacham Lake State Park in upstate New York. This was a bit of a family
reunion for me as we stayed with a lot of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins on this
trip. They camp here on a regular basis as it's not too far from home for
most of them, but it was a long trip for me. I don't get to see my family
very often, so it was a worthwhile trip for me.On the way up there we stopped
for a few nights at Evangola State Park near Niagara falls and on the way
back we stayed a few nights at Geneva State Park in Ohio.
The Meacham Lake Campground was really nice and pretty. No hookups at all in
this place which meant I had to bring a generator for the first time in my
life. the campground itself is huge and the sites (at least in our area)
were really big. A person could have easily parked to campers in each site
and still had plenty of room. There is no internet or even cell phone
service in this campground which was fine with me on this trip.
